I have been musky fly-fishing for quite awhile and have spent many hours on the water.  During that time, I have tied and used several patterns, but the pattern available has been proven to be a productive fly.

The flies measure approximately 10" long, and they are made with deer hair (head), bucktail, long feathers, marabou, and flash.

The back of the fly includes long, flowing feathers for extra action, and the head is made of deer hair, which pushes water and helps your fly move in several directions, upon retrieval.

The hook is a Trokar 5/0 TK130-XL-510 Flippin' XL hook.  These hooks have a narrow profile and are extremely stout, which helps keep the weight down on the fly for easier casting, and the stoutness is there for a heavy hook-up.

You may find that these flies are little more expensive than others you may see listed...  But, one thing you will find - I am a musky fisherman 99% of my time on the water, and these flies work.  You get what you pay for!
